Our Club is an affiliate of the American Kennel Club - AKC. We provide a place where people can learn how to teach their dogs to realize their innate abilities to retrieve game, in hunting and/or field test competitions under AKC rules.  We introduce beginners to the dog sports of Hunt Tests and Field Trials; support and provide opportunities for the intermediate and advanced handlers to reach their full potential in these sports.

We emphasize and acknowledge safety for our members and dogs.  This includes proper use and care of equipment, firearms safety. And for the dogs this includes awareness of weather conditions like extreme heat and cold, water conditions, safe property to train on, warm-up and cool down activities, emergency first aid if needed and not allowing the dogs to interact with each other.  It also includes treating our dogs humanely and knowing and practicing the difference between “corrections” and “punishment”. We do not tolerate anyone treating their dog in an inhumane manner verbally, physically, or emotionally.  This should be a fun activity for our dogs as well!
